Held each spring at Barmera, the Riverland Field Days is one of the region's biggest annual gatherings - a sprawling celebration of agriculture, machinery, food, wine and country lifestyle. Hundreds of exhibitors fill the grounds, from the latest farm equipment to local produce and crafts.
It's part trade show, part country fair, with entertainment, demonstrations and plenty to eat and drink. For visitors it's a window into the farming life that underpins the whole Riverland - the citrus, almonds and vines that the Murray's irrigation made possible.
