Berri
A busy riverside town with a striking riverfront precinct, citrus heritage and the famous Big Orange.
Named from the Aboriginal word "bery bery" meaning a wide bend in the river, Berri sits at the commercial heart of the Riverland. Its redeveloped riverfront — all boardwalks, lawns and a swimming beach — is one of the prettiest on the Murray. Berri is citrus and juice country, home to the landmark Big Orange and a short drive from Banrock Station and the Katarapko wetlands.
