One of Australia’s classic roadside Big Things — a giant orange celebrating the Riverland’s citrus heritage near Berri.
Few things say Riverland like the Big Orange. Standing 15 metres tall on the outskirts of Berri, this giant fibreglass orange is a tribute to the citrus industry that built the region, and a much-loved example of Australia’s roadside Big Things. Inside there’s a viewing level looking out over the orchards, displays on local produce and a shop. It’s an unmissable, gloriously kitschy photo stop and a fitting monument to the fruit that put the Riverland on the map.
