One of Australia’s classic roadside Big Things - a giant orange celebrating the Riverland’s citrus heritage near Berri.
Few things say Riverland like the Big Orange. Standing 15 metres tall on the outskirts of Berri, this giant fibreglass orange is a tribute to the citrus industry that built the region, and a much-loved example of Australia’s roadside Big Things. The building itself has been closed to entry since 2004, so today it’s a view-from-the-road photo stop - gloriously kitschy all the same, and a fitting monument to the fruit that put the Riverland on the map.
