Murray River Queen

The Murray River Queen began life as a passenger riverboat in the 1970s, cruising the lower Murray in the golden age of river holidays. Moored at Loxton since late 2024 after many years at Waikerie, the distinctive three-deck vessel is a landmark on the riverfront near the Tree of Knowledge and a photogenic slice of the river's tourism history.

Loxton's riverfront is among the prettiest in the Riverland, and the stretch around the Queen is a fine spot to take in the scale of the Murray. Combine a look at the boat with a wander along the foreshore and a coffee in town.
