Morgan
A historic river port at the Murray’s great bend, once the busiest inland port in the state.
In the paddle-steamer era Morgan was the second-busiest port in South Australia, where river cargo met the railway to Adelaide. The grand wharf, museum and main street still echo that boom. Today Morgan is a quiet, atmospheric stop at the river’s northern bend, with ferry crossings, fishing and big-sky sunsets over the water.
