Martins Bend Reserve

A popular riverside reserve and wetland just downstream of Berri, with camping, walking trails and birdlife.

Martins Bend is a well-loved riverside reserve a short distance from the centre of Berri, where the Murray spreads into wetland lagoons fringed with red gum. It's a favourite local spot for camping, fishing, canoeing and easy walking, with tracks threading between the river and the backwaters.

The birdlife is the quiet draw — pelicans, darters, herons and parrots are all regulars. Add a wetland loop and a riverbank picnic and you have a relaxed, accessible slice of the Riverland close to town.
