A family-owned, organically farmed winery between Renmark and Loxton with a relaxed riverland cellar door.
Salena Estate is one of the Riverland's larger family wineries, run by the Franchitto family across vineyards near Bookpurnong. Much of the estate is farmed organically, and the cellar door pours a broad range from everyday drops to more serious reds, all at the honest prices the region is known for.
The setting is classic Riverland — rows of vines stretching toward the river, big skies and an unhurried welcome. It's an easy stop on the run between Renmark and Loxton, and a good place to understand how much of Australia's wine quietly comes from this sun-drenched corner of the Murray.
